Detour using the frontage road to Algodones to access I_25 northbound. • Monday 9/30 through Friday 10/11 from 9 pm to 5 am each evening– The U_S 5_50 onramp to I_25 southbound at exit 242 (Bernalillo) will be closed. Detour: Use N_M 3_13 or South Hill Road to exit 240. • Ongoing through Sunday 10/11 9 pm to 5 am each evening – All ramps at I_25 exit 242 will be narrowed for interchange construction. Work will be from mile post 62-64. The project will widen US 64 from four to six lanes. Medians will be installed along US 64 for access control, a major storm drain system will be installed. TRAFFIC IMPACTS: -• Eastbound traffic will be diverted into the Westbound lanes (WBL) at Church St. The transition of the east bound traffic into the westbound lane will begin at Church Street. Eastbound traffic will be limited a one continuous left turn lane and one through/right turn lane between Valley Street and Fourth Street. The Eastbound lanes (EBL)will be closed from Frontier Street to Forth Street. Eastbound traffic will not have left turn access to Frontier St. and 7th St. • Westbound traffic will remain on the WBLs and will be limited to a one continuous left turn lane and one through/right turn lane between Forth Street and Frontier Street. Westbound traffic will have access to all intersecting streets on US 64. • Southbound traffic on NM 550 will be diverted into the NBL just north of the intersection. In addition the WB shoulder on NM-136 will continue to be closed from mile marker 6.0 to the Texas State line until the completion of the path. There is a 11' wide width restriction throughout this project along with a 45 MPH speed limit set in the construction zone. Please proceed with caution and obey traffic notifications.

NMDOT crews are working on fixing or replacing the six timber bridges that were in need of replacement. NMDOT has restricted the speed limit to 20 mph until all these bridges deficiencies are corrected these speed restrictions will remain in place. The listing of bridges with locations is as follows: 1. Bridge No. 5299 at MP 7.17 2. Bridge No. 5968 at MP 8.36 3. Bridge No. 5966 at MP 10.48 4. Bridge No. 5965 at MP 13.06 5. Bridge No. 6257 at MP 17.52 6. Bridge No. 6453 at MP 27.48 Detours have been constructed consisting of steel culverts installed by NMDOT District 4 maintenance crews. The detours will remain in place until resources become available to replace the damaged bridge. Remember, seat belts save lives.

NMDOT Project Assistant is Max Vigil. Traffic Impacts: -On September 3, the northbound traffic on U.S. 84/285 will be detoured onto the newly constructed northbound off ramp and northbound on ramp. The traffic switch will detour travelers off of the main line of U.S. 84/285 during construction of the new bridge deck and placement of bridge girders. -There will continue to be lane closures on the northbound and southbound lanes between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The lane closures will be removed at the end of each workday, opening up two lanes of traffic in each direction. -The posted speed limit is 35 mph. Motorists’ speed is being monitored by the New Mexico State Police. -NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for traffic control signing and flaggers, and observe the reduced speed limit.
